Presentations to Elmfield

On Thursday 25 January, Interactive Media Diploma students presented their ideas to the team from Elmfield. Their Prezi presentations include their initial ideas and draft designs for their marketing campaigns for the company. Their aim? To raise the profile of the IT department within Elmfield.

Stop Motion Project - College Rollercoaster

Before we began our Elmfield Marketing project, we got to grips with Stop Motion animation and produced the following videos.


The brief was simple: using stop motion, create a college rollercoaster!

How to embed a Powerpoint from Google Docs into your blog.

1.       Firstly, you must upload your work to Google Docs.
2.       Then, once uploaded right click the doc and go to ‘share’
3.       Inside this pop-up box, click the link “change” in the right corner.
4.       Select “anyone with the link” and click save.
5.       Now open the document through Google Docs.
6.       In the top right corner choose “Share” then down to “Publish Embed”
7.       An embed code will generate. You need to copy and paste this into your blog making sure you select HTML rather than compose.

There is a danger that students are not keeping up to date with their blogs as they are not seeing them as REAL work.

Don't fall into this trap!

Your blogs ARE your work and will be marked by Kim and Leigh as well as the external examiner. Therefore, if the work's not on there you'll fail!

A FORMAL ASSESSMENT MARK WILL BE GIVEN BY THE END OF THE WEEK. THEREFORE YOUR BLOGS MUST BE UP TO DATE BY TUESDAY 4 OCTOBER.

     - What language has been used e.g. html, css, xhtml etc (benefits/dis, etc for M1,D1)

     - Do they comply with the W3C standards (benefits/dis, M1,D1)
